Bae Soo Ji/Suzy | District 5

Strengths: 

Thanks to her mother, she is a strong fighter despite her physical appearance. She can swim well and she knows how to use some weapons. On top of it all, she’s a smart girl. She can manipulate you easily and escape before you realize you’ve just been fooled. She can be a very skilled actress if she wants; you won’t believe it’s acting if she doesn’t let you know. Her emotionless face makes it difficult to know what’s going through her mind. Her ability to stay calm even in the worst situation increases her brain ability to think fast and precise.

Weaknesses: 

There’s one thing that her mother never teach her:  how to survive in the arena. Her mother herself doesn’t know how to. And this gonna be a disadvantage for her since she used to the availability of life necessities. So if she goes as tribute and can’t get a supplies from cornucopia, she’s surely won’t know what to do. Another problem is that she has no clue how to socialize and hardly trust anyone, so she won’t get allies easily.

Personality: 

Growing up in a strict environment, Suzy becomes a cold-hearted girl. Emotionless and full of suspiciousness, her mother taught her so, don’t believe anyone. She never really has a friend, either because she’s difficult to open up or anyone else doesn’t try hard enough. She doesn’t like being in the middle of a crowd and she can’t socialize easily. Only speaks when she feels necessary and her smiles never really reach her eyes.

She put up a tough personality in front of the others, she act like she ignores the world, she pretend that she’s fine being alone when inside she’s actually fragile, sensitive, and craving for attention and love. She’s very observant and smart; she can outsmart another person with her manipulative ways. It’s one of her inner skill that you can’t see very often.

Background: 

Born into a wealthy family made her never experience shortages. She didn’t have to work so she could eat and everything she ever wanted would be served in front of her, especially because she lived in victor’s village thanks to her mother. If there’s something she wanted but never got, it is love.  That’s right, her mother, as her one and only family she has, loves her, but it didn’t help when the woman was treating her like a robot.

She never knew who her father was. Her mother was acting as if he was already dead, maybe he was. All she knew was that her father married her mother not because he loved her; he loved her money and popularity as the victor of the hunger games. Once her mother knew this—and turned out her father also had an affair, she immediately erased him from her and her unborn baby’s life, God knows how she did that. Until this very day of her sixteen years’ life, she never knows how her mother won the games.

Her mother is a perfectionist woman, therefore she demanded perfection from her only child. She trained Suzy to defense herself, with or without weapon. She taught her so she could back home safely if she’s chosen as a tribute. Not only that, she wanted a perfect score from school. Suzy could never escape from punishment if she headed home with a bad result.

Lee Eunhyuk | District 5

Strengths: 

Hyukjae’s father believed that strength and agility were key in life and made sure his son had the key to a successful life. He was trained in martial arts by his father from a young age everyday from sunrise to sunset. It began with training in Karate and Taekwondo to build up his strength and muscles. Then he learned Caoperiato build up his agility. His skinny stature allows him to move more swiftly than one would believe and can allow him to fit into spaces most people aren’t able to access. Hyukjae was also heavily schooled by his father, so he’s has a vast knowledge of various forms of power.

Weaknesses: 

Hyukjae has a tendancy to trust people a little too easily. His mother had raised him to care about everything and everyone with sincerity until her death.So even if someone has done wrong to him, Hyukjae will forgive them easily. He can also get emotional easily. Certain things can trigger Eunhyuk to shed tears without a reason or he can get excited too easily. He tends to hide from others whenever he’s upset. His mind is sometimes easy to wander into random thoughts when he feels bored, which is quite common for him. Also because of his small stature, he is self conscious of how people see him.

Personality: 

Hyukjae is a very kind and caring person. Losing his mother at age seven, it triggered something in the back of his mind. He has a strong sense of family values. He’s very protective of his younger half sisters, but doesn’t show much kindness to his step-mother. His hatred for the capitol is deep, since his only brother was sent into the Hunger Games and never returned home.

Background: 

Hyukjae was born into the Lee family as the second male heir. His father, Lee WonBin, payed little attention to him as an infant. To their father, the older brother Lee Xiah was seen as the prized child. Though, their father did not forget about Hyukjae. Since the Lee family was influential in District 5, Hyuj had to live up to the standards his older brother had set for him. He was trained in martial arts and drilled with the knowledge of different power sources from the age of three. His mother, Lee Hyunjae, loved to shower him with love and affection. Hyuk was her pride and joy. The darling son she had always wanted.

Fate, however, had a different plan for their family. Because they lived so close to the power plant that Hyuk and Xiah’s father had worked at, their mother developed a severe form of cancer. She had fought as hard as she could, but her body grew weaker each day. When Hyukjae was seven, his brother had gone to meet him at the district school and informed him of their mother’s death. It was a traumatic blow for Hyukjae. His mother was the only source of kindness besides his brother. He made a promise to his mother, on her funeral day, that he would abide by what she had taught him the short time they were together. 

About three years after the death of his first wife, Lee WonBin remarried. Hyuk and  Xiah were not fond of the new woman in their father’s life. She was abusive towards Hyukjae simply because of his small stature. That ended when she started having children. Daughter after daughter after daughter. She would try her hardest to make them the center of attention, pushing Xiah and Hyukjae to the side. However, their father didn’t feel the same way. He believed his sons needed to be molded to protect their new sisters. So even though their step-mother was cruel, they grew fond of their half sisters and protected them.

Then, when Hyukjae was eleven and Xiah was eighteen, cruel fate hit the Lee family once again. Xiah was chosen as the male tribute for district five. Hyuk watched every second his brother was on the big screen near the justice building. He admired his brother’s strength, and how hard he was fighting for the district. However, he was bested by one of the carrier tributes from district 2. The loss of his brother caused Hyukjae to break down. It was so severe, he awoke one day in the hospital with his father crying. ” You almost died Hyukjae!” He had said. Though, his doctor had only said Hyuk fainted from shock and was perfectly fine. When he was released from the hospital, Hyuk vowed that if he were chosen as tribute he would find a way to avenge his brother. He continued to train with his father everyday, preparing for the games should he ever be chosen.

Lee Sungmin | District 5

Strengths: 

Underestimating Sungmin’s kind nature is one big strength he has. He may look happy nearly 90% of the time but he does know how to defend himself. Because of this very fact, he’s had to learn self-defense at a young age. Picking up martial arts wasn’t all that bad especially since he became quite good at it. But the nun-chucks were what Sungmin was truly best at. He’d practice night and day just because of his love for it. And over the years, his training has paid off. 

One thing that would seem eerily odd but a good quality is how flexible Sungmin can be. This would all be his sister’s fault of course and had his cat like reflexes thanks to them as well. It was extremely helpful when it came time to avoid being their dress up doll when he learn that it was not in fact something every little boy did. 

Weaknesses: 

One of Sungmin’s weakness is how technology prone he is. It will never fail him that at anytime he tries to play with or fix something that holds a lot of power, it’ll either break, blow up, drop from his hands, or short-circuit. It’s not his fault he can’t handle all of that fancy stuff. It is part of the reason why he isn’t allowed near anything from his father’s power plant job. Having already been electrocuted five times weren’t very fun trips to the hospital. 

Another of Sungmin’s weakness is how easily he trusts others. Because of his constant belief in trying to see the good in others, his trust can be misplaced in the wrong hands and be taken advantage of quite easily. It has caused quite a few of his “friends” to get him in trouble at times which is a wonder to his parents why he even keeps them close but it would tear him apart if he didn’t. His friends are his friends despite their flaws and he wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Personality: 

Sungmin is such an optimistic person. He loves to believe in the good things and likes to keep the peace between his friends. It would hurt him too much to see them arguing and him just standing on the sidelines doing nothing. Because he does have two older sisters, he has grown to have a delicate attitude with others except when it comes down to being picked on. That’s when things tend to change a bit.

It’s not like Sungmin doesn’t have a grumpy side or even an angry side, he just knows how to calm himself before he reacts to the situation. His family has always considered him the cheerful one and he likes to keep it that way. He’s rather easily amused and likes the simple things in life. If something was taken for granted, then life wouldn’t be worth living. This will always be his moot in life despite the Capitol’s ominous force.

Background: 

Even if Sungmin’s family wasn’t the richest, he believed he had a fairly decent childhood. His sisters played with him a lot until he ventured out on his own. That was when he found the world outside of playing dress up, trying on pink tutus and drinking fake tea out of plastic tea cups. But it was a very sad world that awaited him. His new friends all had family members in the Capitol’s Hunger Games and each one had some sad story of loss or were currently experiencing it. This always made little Sungmin wonder just how lucky him and his family had been and why they never had to be sad like that. Not that he wanted to but if he could take his friends hurt away, then Sungmin would gladly do that. 

After turning 13, Sungmin got the special privilege of going with his dad to the Power Plant he worked at. That day though went completely horrible because of Sungmin touching a big shiny red button that apparently was an off switch for 1/3 of District 5. How was he supposed to know one button would turn off such a large portion of his district? 

So instead of ever being allowed back into the Power Plant ever again, Sungmin focused on his schooling and martial arts training which he started just three years before that incident. Since he is easy to please Sungmin is willing to help out his friends even if it does mean getting in trouble by some Peacekeepers. On quite a few occasions, he’s had to be brought home by several only to have his name being added into the Reaping a few more times than necessary. Being the good boy that he is though, he’s always made it up to his mother somehow or someway. 

Now that he is 19, Sungmin doesn’t have school to worry about but that was never an issue. The Hunger Games were. Each year they happened and it would be the only day he never overwhelmed anyone with his cheerfulness. Though no one in his family has ever been in the games, Sungmin was beginning to worry that made the Lee’s family luck on this certain issue may just be running out soon. 

Jang Hyunseung | District 12

Strengths:

With his innocent yet deadly looks can simply make a person form a truce with him or just simply leaving him with no harm done. He himself has high stamina but low endurance. You may not believe it but it is true. He simply learned fighting from trying to cover up his  weak side. He dosen’t rely on looks though. He also  has quite the specialty on healing wounds just from simple materials from the environment around him. Consider him being a healer…although he dosen’t use his healing specialty on others..if he gets something in return.

Weaknesses:

Hyunseung is not Mr.Perfect sadly. He has trouble when ever making friends most likely will will think you as an enemy. Doesn’t open up to people that easily thinking that they will only use him as bait.. nothing less. Himself has a fear of getting close to people.. because of what he simply learned in his family… ”Friends are basically nothing..they will use you up throwing you into the trash” He doesn’t matter if he’s harmed..just simply wants the people around him to be okay. 

Personality:

Hyunseung can be quite mysterious acting like he doesn’t simply care for anything.yet quite..But that’s simply not the real him. Within himself its a whole different personality… he can  be deeply caring connecting to people emotions. Hatred…sadness…all that stuff. But yet he only show that side of him once he had open up to someone. Hes often known to be ” The Mysterious boy” In district 12. That’s all you need to know basically. 

Background:

Hyunseung was raised by a royal yet a classy  family. You might simply say ” Well isn’t the boy lucky he’s in a family like that” Well he himself isn’t happy about being in a family like this. His family might got the money.. the popularity but yet it’s to stressful for him. His family never seem to care for him. just wanting to him to rise to the best, not for who he is. They only wanted the family reputation to be best as possible. They never have given the feeling of love to him. Just these simple words ” Do better and then yet people will know us as the best” 

     He has always has been used by his family in any meathod. By simply taking people attention to the family repuation or  bringing ”enjoyment”. He clearly had enough of his family because no one had really understand him. . When ever he was down on the dump he would go to a place that had always had been preciouse to him. That place,was under the beautiful sky under the blooming bossam trees that swift through the air. Later, a mysterious man about two yrs older than came up to him at that very preicouse place as if it was destiny wanting them to form a friendship. Basically that man had then became his best friend throughout the years,because the man had  only  benn to see the real him.  Throughout the two friends had been spending there friendship every minute. Even though Hyunseung might be still going through pain still he’s happy to find someone that now has seen the real him. He now can smile feeling free. 

   The next day as he looked up at the sky was darkening as if something bad will happen.. He then heard that man was called as tribute to the games a few hours later. Hyunseung was in shock not wanting him to go he  himself voluntered to take his place because he knows once you had join in the games you possibly will get hurt. Not wanting to get him hurt,not wanting that man to experience pain. He promised he’ll come back when bringing victory to district 12, but then he wont show anyone his real self only to him till then no one. Hyunseung smile has faded away .  He is now known ”The mysterious boy” throughout district 12. 

Kim Jongin | District 4

Strengths: :  

Kai may look just a child but don’t suspect that he’s weak. Just by his appearance people will obviously target the ”innocent weak ones” ,but yet that’s what Kai wants you think. Once your eyes set on him you had fallen for a deep pit of death. He experienced Taekwando which  means if you even try to lay a finger on him you’ll then will wish  you never wished to be here. You might think Kai is a bit overboard but it’s simply self defense. Is quite of a fast thinker when it comes to enemys Has quite the specialty in self defense so think before you do to mess with him. 

Weaknesses: 

He yet tends to hide his weaknesses so then yet it won’t happen in reality. He can’t simply take a person life…..even though hes trained well and quite expiernced for the games he can not take a persons life because it only cause more guilt and sadness into him. Not good  communiting with people because he is yet quite to speak a even a word to them. Dosen’t have much experince of making friends because he never seem to have any. Is also simply too gullible to fall for anything. 

Personality: 

( At times he can be an innocent boy but then within he is yet deviouse. He can be extermly kind yet when starts making close friends. When it comes to enimies he transforms into a different person..Once that side of him opens up..let just say.. he can be ”Evil Kai?” He’s yet trustworthy when it comes to keeping a secret not leaving his friends behind. Kai mostly acts like a child younger then he usually his which people to find quite adorable. Theres not that much about ”Evil Kai” side because he only uses that personailty for enimies or either self defense. 

Background:

The truth is Kai dosen’t really have a family.  He dosen’t remember who is in his family,where were they, he dosen’t spefically have any memories about them since he was abondone at a young age. -Flashback- It was a rainy day as the raindrops  drip against the concrete floor he was sitting against a dirty grassed area when getting soaked and wet. As the rain drops against the floor a person came up to him holding out his hand saying ”Would you like to come with me”? Kai then nodding with a weak expression holding out his hand linking it to his. The person had then brought Kai into his house for shelter. Kai was wondering where he was now,where and who is family was. The person asked questions to Kai to at least get some information about his family..but yet Kai couldnt answer because he cant remember anything from within his mind. The person was   a highly authoiry but yet chosed to live in a reguler life. That person was known to be a master..his name was Master Mika Nitsuri. Like any other masters they take in slaves to treating  however they like. He then made up his mind to take Kai as in a slave but then he wouldn’t treat him harshly. The master would then treat him like a friend…possibly like a servent..but never family.-End Flashback- 

          -Present- Kai was now 17 yrs old since the day he was brought in here he had fully grown almost into an adult. When Kai was young   Master was teaching the right requirments that he needed throughout his life. Education, doing what’s important, and yet a little fun. Master then had decided to test the slave skill by bringing him into tribute of the games. Not only to test the slave..but wants to see how the little boy had grown. Even though master cant treat him like as family he wishes to see how he can handel through life. Now you may ask ”Why cant he treat him like family”? He cant because as master regulations had said ” You Cant treat your slave as your lover..yet nor your family or they will be consquences.” That is why the master can only treat him only as a slave..only as a servent. 

             Once Kai had heard that he’ll be joining the games he had a sad expression sighing because he knows that he himself cant possibly do anything which would lead to more training. He promised to himself to train much as possible for his master to bring victory. He’ll come back alive with no harm done.  Throughout the days..monthes he spends fousing on Taekwaondo. After all the hard work at times his master and Kai would go to fish to calm them self from reality. Kai will only hide.. about being a slave..until someone will ask..someone close to him he will then reveal it. He /will/bring victory into the hunger games no matter what. Till then he wont give up because he yet wants to see Master smile as Kai wins. 

Go Ara | District 5

Strengths:

Ara is a caring person and emotionally involved with others. She can see small details in the behavior of others where most of the people will look over it. Her beautiful appearance and rather innocent looking face will probably make you underestimate her. Which is one of the biggest mistakes you can make around her. She may not be strong but she’s smart and due to her education and good working brain, she can easily come up with various plans to get out of certain unpleasant situations. And due to the fact that she’s patience, she always can wait long enough to make the right move at the right time.

Next to the good working brain, Ara has a very flexible body and this comes in handy for a hand- to-hand combat. Which she is very skilled in. Not because she’s strong but because she has learned to interpret the movements of her opponent quickly and has great reflexes to make up for a –maybe- made mistake quickly. Besides this she has quite a way to handle small knives and daggers. Not only does she have good reflexes, but she also has a very sharp hearing which comes in handy in multiple situations.

Weaknesses:  

Ara has a bad vision. However, through the years she has learned to trust more on her other senses to compensate for this rather big weakness of hers (Which in certain situations can turn out to be an advantage for her as well). She isn’t that very strong and thus can’t carry heavy objects - or too many – for too long with her. The bone inside her left hand of her little finger has been broken a couple of years ago and although it has healed completely, she still can’t place too much force on the side of her left hand or on that hand in general.

Except for these physical lacks, Ara cares too much for people -in general- to actually cause them harm. Let stand kill people.  Although, in the back of her mind she knows that maybe she needs to kill someone one day in order to survive. And maybe she even won’t do her best to survive at all.
She has a strong believe in the good of people and so is easy to manipulate if you really want to do so.

Personality:

Stubborn, smart, independent, patient, hard-working and determined. A few words many people use to summarize Ara’s personality with. Although they do forget with this that she is a very quiet, friendly and sweet girl too. She can get attached to people rather quickly, and so do almost anything to make them smile. She isn’t very difficult to please and is known by people because of her everlasting smile. Her father calls her a sun child because of her bright and calm nature.

Ara isn’t a person who talks easily about her own thoughts or feelings with others. She always has a lot of things on her mind and most of the time just lacks the words to express her thoughts and feelings properly. That’s the main reason why she’s so quiet around others. The second reason is that she completely doesn’t mind it to listen to other people. Listen to how they tell their stories to her and through that get to know them.

It isn’t hard to get to know her. Although she has a very layered personality she easily lets people come close to her. Even though sometimes they don’t even know this or sometimes she doesn’t really show how much she cares for a person since her biggest fear is losing them one day again.

Background:

Born into District 5, Ara never has known or seen the other Districts. Only learned about them in her education and through stories she heard. She never has known the joy of having a mother in her life, since she had died during labor. Her father grieved deeply for this loss but managed to raise his only daughter well. Having a great relationship with her built on love and trust, Ara didn’t miss anything  that a child needs to have in their development. They weren’t that rich, but not exactly poor either and they always could manage to get enough food for the both of them to keep them satisfied and healthy. She never has had a lot of luxury in her life, but also isn’t the type of person to want such luxury.

Her father has taught her everything he knew about life and his work. Showing the world to her on an early age and how it exactly worked. Although he also had high expectations from her, which Ara tried to fulfill every time. Leading her to have good marks at school and to soon start and help him with his work whenever she could. Besides this she also had a basic training in martial arts. Her father knew that maybe one day she would be a tribute. And thus since her father didn’t want to lose his only daughter as well, he decided that it only would do her good if she would have a basic training. Ara went along with this, since she knows the fear her father has to lose her and indeed a basic training couldn’t harm her.

In the eighteen years Ara has lived so far, nothing really bad or spectacular has happened. She has lived a quiet, happy and peaceful live together with her father and a couple of close friends. Only now that she has become of age, she’d like to explore the world some more. To meet new people who and have a new impulse in her life which can even teach her more about it.
